Sledgehammer is one of the newest NPCs to join the Fortnite island after the recent hotfix. While we still recover from one of the most interesting Fortnitemares in a while, this questline challenge serves as a change of pace from the regular stuff that we've been doing in Fortnite Season 8.
Just like the other NPCs on the island, you need to talk to Sledgehammer first before you can attempt to complete his challenges. So here's our very own guide on Sledgehammer's Battle Orders questline.
How to complete Sledgehammer's Battle Orders Questline challenges in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8?
Sledgehammer Fortnite location
In order to find Sledgehammer, you need to make your way to Holly Hedges, and then navigate to the crash site that's north east to this location.
Once you've found him, talk to the NPC and you will have unlocked their entire questline challenges.
Stage 1 - Open a chest in the Sideways
This is a pretty easy challenge to begin with. All you need to do is head inside an already active Sideways encounter and start killing monsters.
There will be a location in the centre where you will see chests spawning. Open one of these chests and you will have completed the first challenge.
Stage 2 - Eliminate different types of Cube Monsters within the Sideways
Don't leave the Sideways after you've ended up opening the chest in the previous challenge. Once you've done that, you need to eliminate three different types of Cube Monsters within the Sideways in order to complete the challenge.
This isn't difficult at all, because there are different types of Cube Monsters that randomly spawn in any Sideways encounter. That being said, this challenge can be completed in one go. So you can't really go wrong with it, unless you die.
Stage 3 - Damage Cube Monsters with a Sideways Weapon
From the looks of it, most of your Battle Orders challenges will be completed within the Sideways itself. And if you're lucky enough, you can get it done in one encounter too.
Once you've eliminated a Cube Monster, pick up the Sideways weapon that they drop and use it to kill more monsters. Deal around 150 damage, and you're done with this challenge as well.
Stage 4 - Collect Cube Monster parts
Cube Monsters drop monster parts once they're defeated. These parts can be used to upgrade the Sideways weapons.
In order to complete this challenge, you need to collect 50 parts. Pretty easy challenge in my opinion.
Stage 5 - Defeat a Boss Cube Monster in The Sideways
This is one mission that might be based upon your luck. Not all Sideways encounters spawn bosses, so you might have some difficulty completing this challenge.
If you want a quick way to do it, all you need to do is hunt down a Caretaker boss and then defeat it inside the Sideways encounter it begins. That should help you complete this challenge easily.
