How to Activate a Rift by Purchasing It From a Character in Fortnite

Chapter 2, Season 6, Week 9's Epic Quests go live today, and players are going to have to purchase a rift from one of the several NPCs that offer the service for one of them.

Purchasing a rift costs Gold Bars and teleports a player up into the air above Apollo Island for a mini redeploy

There are six different NPCs that sell rifts, but only five of them can be found in the same location every match.

How to Activate a Rift by Purchasing It From a Character

Each of the six NPCs that sell rifts does so for 245 Gold Bars each.

The five static NPCs, and their locations, are as follows:

• Cabbie - Found outside in the southside of Lazy Lake
• Castaway Jonesy - Found on the island located northeast of Steamy Stacks
• Raz - Found in the main building of Colossal Crops
• Rebirth Raven - Found in the small house to the northwest of Sweaty Sands
• Willow - Found wandering in Whispering Woods

The sixth NPC that sells rifts is Bunker Jonesy, who can appear in one of ten different locations on Apollo Island:

• A house east of Catty Corner past the mountain
• A house on the southern coast of the island below Misty Meadows
• A house southeast of Catty Corner
• A shack on the hill east of Misty Meadows
• At Camp Cod Island at the south edge of the map
• On the Rainbow Rentals beach southwest of Holly Hedges
• On the lighthouse island northwest of Stealthy Stronghold
• On the house on a hill northwest of Steamy Stacks
• A shack southwest of Slurpy Swamp
• A house northwest of Holly Hedges

Seeing as Bunker Jonesy's location is unreliable, it is recommended that players seek out on of the other five NPCs to complete this challenge.
