Week 9 Challenge Guide

Shakedown Opponents

A straight forward challenge - you'll need to jump into a Duo, Trio or Squads game so that players can be 'downed'.

Players are downed once you have depleted their health to 0.

Once down, go up to them and press X or Square to Shake them down.

Shakedown an IO Guard

Very similarly, you'll need to shakedown an IO Guard.

IO Guards tend to spawn in clusters at their designated lift locations - here's a map of those possible spawn locations.

Deplete an IO Guard's health to 0 until they are in a downed state. You will need to shake them down before you eliminate the full squad, otherwise, they will all die.

Find a Hidden Bunker

Hidden Bunkers are difficult to find - hence why they're called 'Hidden Bunkers'.

Here are a few spots in which you can find one:

Under A House

This first one is under a hut on Splode’s Island - to the North-West of Craggy Cliffs.

There’s a rock blocking it from view which you can destroy with your harvesting tool.

Under A Bush

The second is under a bush to the east of Retail Row.

Underwater

This one’s a bit tricky to find but it’s a fun little swim if you head West from Slurpy Swamp.

Find the crashed plane's black box

Have you spotted this Crashed Plane before? Well, you'll need to find its Black Box!

The crashed plane is just East of Coral Castle and looks down on the POI.

It’s in several parts, but you should be able to explore the wreckage easily enough.

Deal damage while in water

This is another easy challenge, you simply need to be in the water when attacking a player.

There are a few ways to do this - you can enter a Team Rumble and hope that the final circle arrives near water.

Alternatively, drop into a normal game and land at water infested POIs such as Coral Castle, Lazy Lake or Slurpy Swamp.

Emote at stone statues

The challenge isn't out yet at the time of writing but we're pretty confident these are the ones you'll want to emote with.

We'll update this once the challenge goes live!

Ride the Steamy Stacks

Riding the Steamy Stacks is a reoccurring challenge that has popped up in Fortnite a few times and is incredibly easy to do.

Simply head to the Steamy Stacks POI in the North-East of the island and head to the Nuclear Chimney stacks.

Go inside and simply jump into the wind current that is flowing up and open your glider - you'll float upwards and complete the challenge.

Deal damage to a loot Shark

Loot Sharks are not the easiest things to find - but with our help this challenge shouldn't take long.

Head to the marked area below near Coral Castle.

Be sure to grab some weapons (it's easier done in a squad), find one swimming in the water and start shooting at the Shark with an AR.

Eventually, the shark will launch out of the water, so get out of the way as it will smash through builds with ease!

While it's on the land, blast it with a Shotgun to bring the Loot Shark down!
