Warzone has entered into the latter stages of Season 2 and hype surrounding the hotly anticipated release of a brand-new map is slowly beginning to build. Before Verdansk takes a trip back to the 1980s, recent leaks have discovered the presence of an all-new Killstreak tucked away within the files of the battle royale.
Known as the Plague Box, the Killstreak was initially discovered at the end of March prior to Warzone's Season 2 Reloaded update which bought in a range of changes including a nerf to the AUG tactical rifle.
New Killstreaks have recently appeared in the battle royale. The RC-XD from the Black Ops series made its appearance alongside the Foresight Killstreak which enables players to see every single circle of a match.
With minimal information surrounding the Plague Box, what exactly is it?
Plague Box Killstreak
The Plague Box was first discovered by notable Call of Duty leaker @ZestyCODLeaks, who managed to find a full description of the Killstreak in the Warzone files.
According to the leaked description, players will have the ability to drop the box to create a plague zone that they will be immune to, suggesting that some kind of opposition will be arriving to the map with the capabilities of dealing incredibly high amounts of damage.
The plague is particularly interesting as it's currently unclear as to what exactly it is. Is it the horde of Zombies or an even greater threat?

Plague Box Release Date
Neither Activision nor Raven Software has yet to unveil details surrounding the release of the Plague Box, but considering the streak is in the files, there's every chance its release could be very soon.
Based on current events involving the Zombies and Nova 6 gas, it's likely that the Plague Box will make an appearance prior to the release of Season 3.
