Activision has been equal with the love they’re giving to all platforms, though it looks like there’s a bit of bias thanks to Sony's exclusivity deal. Because of the deal, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 owners have access to Onslaught early alongside new high-resolution packs coming out soon for PS5 players.
What Is The Black Ops Cold War High-Resolution Pack?
For the most part, we think Black Ops Cold War already looks fine on the PS5 but it looks like Treyarch was not content with what they put out, with a total of three high-resolution packs being discovered by @PlaystationSize.
Despite no official confirmation coming from Treyarch, this discovery means that there are plans to release the high-resolution packs on the PlayStation Store. An exact release date for the packs has yet to be revealed but considering the start of Season 4 Reloaded is right around the corner, players can expect them to appear in the coming days.
How To Download Black Ops Cold War High-Resolution Pack
The process of downloading the packs for Multiplayer, Zombies, and Dead Ops Arcade is relatively straightforward. The packs are now available to download and here's how to do so.
Simply load Black Ops Cold War where an in-game prompt should take PS5 players to the download. If the prompt doesn't appear, head into the in-game settings where a 'High-Resolution Pack' tab should appear under 'Graphics.'
It’s always good to see Treyarch trying to make its game better and considering rumours that claim Activision will be supporting Black Ops Cold War for a long time once COD 2021 has been released. Adding high-resolution packs to make the game look better should make all parties happy for the foreseeable future..
All three packs weigh in at 29.5GB, meaning PS5 players may have to make some room on their hard drives. The SSD within the console is around 600GB in size, despite the model saying 800GB, so make sure there is enough space if you want to enhance the visuals of your game!
