How to Switch to Single-Fire Rate in Battlefield 2042

Battlefield 2042 might not have had a perfect launch but there are fans who are sticking with the shooter thanks to solid shooting mechanics and some of the fun modes like Hazard Zone. However, it seems some newer players aren't sure of how to change to single-fire rate in Battlefield 2042.

For those unaware, some of the guns in Battlefield 2042 allow you to change the fire rate, making these weapons more suited for shooting in groups or single enemies, which can be very important when it comes to the various ways you can face off against other players in the game.

Thankfully, changing into single-fire in Battlefield 2042 is pretty easy, as players simply have to point their gun down when out of combat and press either down on the d-pad if you’re on console or V should you be playing on PC.

Make sure that you’re alone or with teammates when doing this since changing the fire rate leads to an unskippable animation that can make you an easy target if you’re not paying attention, so make sure that you’re done switching to a single-fire rate when doing this in Battlefield 2042.

Switching to a single-fire rate will make your gun more suited towards shooting lone enemies, while also making the handling of said weapon feels a bit better, so definitely switch things up when playing Battlefield 2042.

Battlefield 2042 is now available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
