The newest season of Apex Legends is on its way and we have plenty to look forward to. If you've been playing from the start and soon after launch, you likely know the words, Disruptor Rounds, all too well.
If you're new to Apex then you likely have no idea what I'm talking about, so let's find out more.

Apex Legends Disruptor Rounds
Disruptor Rounds were originally removed in Season 3 of Apex Legends. Some players loved it, some hated it and there were plenty of social media posts calling for Respawn to nerf it.
Since then the community have had some time away from the godly attachment but with Apex Legends Season 10: Emergence, they can greet an old friend - or enemy.
What Are Disruptor Rounds?
Disruptor Rounds are a Hop-Up attachment only useable on the Alternator and RE-45. In Season 10, the Hop-Up returns only to the Alternator.
Will this turn the Alternator into one of Apex Legends' best guns? It's hard to say, but it was horribly broken back in the early days of Apex. The addition of the Alternator back into the Care Package means the Disruptor Rounds won't be available in Apex Legends ranked Arenas, however.
What Do Disruptor Rounds Do?
As seen in the above image, Disruptor Rounds increase damage done to shields, so you can imagine how powerful it can be when used mid or end game.
Disruptor Rounds Gameplay
Although we don't have any footage of the Disruptor Rounds being used in Season 10, we do have some past gameplay, presented by iTemp Plays which you can watch below.
Ironically iTemp says near the start of the video that the Alternator had become such a god-tier gun using Disruptor Rounds that Respawn should put it in Care Packages, well now that's the case, with the Alternator and Spitfire swapping with the Prowler.
You should now know everything you need to on Disruptor Rounds, keep yourself up to date on more changes coming to the game with Apex Legends Patch Notes.
