There are quite a few minor and major events/holidays that are referenced or celebrated in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Some of the smaller events may slip under the radar but this doesn't mean they are any less important. One of these events is International Children's Day. We're going to answer two important questions about this event - when is International Children's Day and what is it?

When Is International Children's Day In Animal Crossing New Horizons?

International Children's Day is celebrated in-game from June 1st to June 15th (as that is when the items for the event are no longer available). It's not a major event like Toy Day or Festivale. However, you can purchase items that celebrate this day at the Nook Stop. When are at the Nook Stop select the "Nook Shopping" option. Click on "Special Goods" then press R to skip along to the "Seasonal" section. This is where you will find the items.

These are the two items you can get in celebration of the event:

  • Handmade Crown
  • Handmade Cape

Buying both of these items will only cost 800 Bells and they will be delivered to your mailbox by the following day.

What Is International Children’s Day?

In the real world, International Children's Day is a day dedicated to celebrating all of the children in the world. Although the event is referenced in June in the game, the day is celebrated at different times across the world.
