There are many seasonal events that you can choose to take part in while playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Some events in the game are ones that have been seen in the previous Animal Crossing games. This leaves many fans wondering if certain events that have been missing so far will eventually come to the game. We're here to answer an important question about one of these events - can you get April Fools' Day?

When Is April Fools' Day?
April Fools' Day is on April 1st every single year. You can get April Fools' Day in the game but it isn't a huge event like Bunny Day. It's not a whole day event but there are references to it. You can even buy a whoopee cushion from Nook Shopping at the Nook Stop in preparation for the day.
To buy one, you need to go to the Nook Stop at Resident Services and open up Nook Shopping. Click on the "special goods" option and then press R to move along to the "seasonal" items tab. The whoopee cushion should be near the bottom of the list of items. Order this and it will be in your mailbox the next day. If you're feeling mischievous then you can use your whoopee cushion to play pranks on your friends or on your villagers on the day.
Apart from the whoopee cushion, there doesn't seem to be anything else going on to celebrate the day. If anything else is added for the next event then we will update this page.
April Fools' Day is one of the many minor events that run alongside the major ones in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
