Animal Crossing New Horizons is here, and it looks to be one of the Switch's best sellers already!
If you're not happy with who you have on your island, you don't have to be stuck with your fellow villagers. In fact, a new metagame has emerged whereby players exchange Nook Mile Tokens to try and get their best companions – affectionately referred to as Dreamies.
Here's how to get your favourites to move in next to you.
How to get any villager you want for your island
This whole system revolves around Nook Miles Tokens, which are doled out on a regular basis for completing in-game challenges.
Using various Discord servers or Nookazon (a site we covered here), you can find players willing to part with their villagers. Essentially, once a villager agrees to move and are slowly unpacking their boxes over a number of days, you can convince them to move to your island instead.
That means you'll be able to trade a number of Nook Miles Tokens for a guaranteed interaction with a popular character like Raymond – although this tends to be an expensive process, with Raymond himself often costing over 800 tokens.
Using those same channels, you can also find players willing to allow access to their high turnip-selling prices, but again, expect to pay a premium. But, with Tokens not particularly valuable when selling at Nook's Cranny, it might be better to part with them.
There are even people selling villagers on eBay, if you're feeling completely mad.
