World of Warcraft Burning Crusade Classic: Phase 2 New Raids, PvP Season, Daily Quests And More

With the new announcement that Phase 2 will go live on the PTR next week, we can start to look at what new content will be added alongside everything that is already a part of the content beyond the Dark Portal.

New Raids

As detailed in the five content phases, two new raids will be making their way into the game Serpentshrine Cavern and The Eye.

Two iconic raids in The Burning Crusade sees player's venture into the lair of Lady Vash'j, and the fortress of Kael'thas Sunstrider Tempest Keep.

Both raids are designed for 25 players, with Serpentsgrine Cavern featuring 6 bosses featuring all-new rewards and gear for players to obtain.

The Eye is a shorter 4 boss raid that is iconic for the unique mount Kael'thas Drops called "Ashes of Alar".

After season 1 ends, there will be a two week off-season period and once season 2 begins, all unspent arena points will be converted into honor points.

Release date

We previously predicted a release timeframe for Phase 2, which says the end of August to early September.

Testing for a new phase can be hard to predict at times, although a month-long testing period would ensure a lot of bugs are smoothed out before launch, and this leaves us at a late August to early September release.

Daily Quests

One of Burning Crusades' biggest draws is its introduction to reputation farms for players to unlock unique cosmetics and mounts.

During the Holly Longdale interview, which announced Phase 2 going live on the PTR, the team shared that Ogri'la and the Sha'tari Skyguard daily quest hubs will also be tested, which implies that we will see both reputations added into Phase 2.

Keep an eye on PTR testing and stay tuned for a release date for Phase 2 of The Burning Crusade Classic.
