Valorant next Act promises to bring much more than expected as the recent leaks have hinted at a new map coming to the game.

The latest codename from the game files, Canyon, surfaced on social media, and fans believe it's the seventh map coming to the game.

VALORANT released its sixth map on April 2021, although no new Agents were added to the game with this update. Soon after, the next major update came in June and it introduced KAY/O, the 16th Agent in VALORANT.

Episode 3 Act 1 is coming to an end soon, and fans cannot wait to see what Riot has in store for them in the next Act. According to the latest leak, this new map might feature in Episode 3 Act 2, with a brand new Agent.

Here's everything you need to know about the new Canyon map leak in VALORANT.

Canyon Map Leak

Popular VALORANT content creator @ValorLeaks revealed the new map codenamed Canyon. Naturally, community members flocked to his Twitter post to come up with their theories.

While several proposed that this new map will have three Spike Sites, there is not much information to deduce the map's layout.

However, there is a huge possibility that this new map leak is legitimate and fans may get to see it in the upcoming Act. Here's how we think Canyon may arrive in VALORANT Episode 3 Act 2.

Release Date

The upcoming Episode 3 Act 2 is scheduled to begin around 9th September 2021. Riot Games mentioned that the next update will be content-heavy and will surprise the community.

Community experts and popular VALORANT content creators claim that the next update will introduce a new Agent in the game. Thus, fans can expect that this new Agent might arrive in VALORANT with a new map.

On the contrary, others believe that the next map will arrive with the last Act of Episode 3. However, there is no denying the fact that Canyon ties directly into VALORANT's lore, and here's how.

Skye's Australian Map

VALORANT lore enthusiasts Cynprel and Zakky both mentioned on Twitter that an Australian map is coming to the game. This map is supposed to represent Skye's home and was depicted in the Agent's release trailer.

Now, Australia's Capertee Valley is considered the second largest Canyon in the world. Since all of the VALORANT maps are based on real-life locations, we think that Canyon will be based on the Capartee Valley.

Another interesting factor to consider is the Training Grounds player card from the current battle pass. It features a depiction of the new map and how it looks from the inside.

Upon further examination, players will find numerous similarities between the real-life location and the Training Grounds player card in the battle pass.

If that’s not enough, then pay close attention to the latest Night Market announcement. Riot may have already teased the new map through their creative Twitter posts.

Night Market Leaks

The latest Night market Twitter post may have teased the new map coming to the game. According to experts, the image features a unique ecosystem, one that players have not seen in any of the six maps in VALORANT.

Even the architecture seems like it was done way back in history, as pointed out by Cynprel. This was followed up with the prevalent theory that the next map will be based on Skye's Agent introduction trailer.

However, fans will have to take all this information with a grain of salt until the official announcement reveals more.
