Uncharted Movie Trailer Spotlights Tom Holland's Nathan Drake

There are plenty of references to the Uncharted games, most notably Drake's iconic set-piece in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception with Drake desperately clinging onto a cargo plane in midair.

Drake's brother, Sam - of Uncharted 4 fame - is also brought up, though it's not clear if he'll play a significant role in the film. Antonio Banderas and Tati Gabrielle also make appearances in the preview as the movie's antagonists.

The film's director, Ruben Fleischer, said on the PlayStation Blog that the film is designed so anyone can enjoy it.

"[We] made the movie for both hardcore fans of the game and those who are not yet familiar with the franchise and believe that both will be equally entertained by this incredibly fun and action-packed film."

The Uncharted movie is set to release February 18, 2022, but it's just one of the many PlayStation titles receiving an adaption. The talent behind John Wick is leading a Ghost of Tsushima movie project, and there's even a Twisted Metal TV Show in production.
