1047 Says Splitgate is Getting Forge Mode Long Before Halo Infinite

Splitgate Forge mode is apparently a thing, and 1047 Games will release it sometime within the next six months or so.

The Splitgate Twitter account responded to a joke post on the KFCGaming page that asked how to "trigger" an entire fanbase with one sentence.

The response was:

"Splitgate will have forge mode before Halo Infinite. (Sorry in advance Halo fans, we love you but we had to)"

Assuming it's not a joke made in the spirit of KFC's post, then apparently Splitgate will eventually let players create, share, and play their own maps.

1047 Says Splitgate is Getting Forge Mode Long Before Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite's Forge mode is supposed to launch around Season 3 of its multiplayer campaign. Halo Infinite seasons will reportedly last three months or so each, which puts Halo's Forge release date sometime before June 2022.

Taking 1047 at its word, Splitgate's Forge mode will be much sooner. The dev team has been teasing major updates for the arena shooter since Season 0 started during Gamescom 2021, and a create-a-map mode would certainly count as big.

Perhaps the goal is adding several new features and refining them before Splitgate enters its full release - whenever that might be.
