Rainbow Six Quarantine is now known as Rainbow Six Extraction, and it's coming soon - very soon, in fact, with Ubisoft's PvE shooter launching on September 16th.
Dropping Siege's PvP nature and tasking Operators with taking on a new alien threat, it's the kind of experience that's begging to be played through with friends - but what if they're on other platforms?
Here's everything you need to know about crossplay in Extraction.
Is Rainbow Six Extraction Crossplay or Cross-Platform?
Great news, team - you'll be able to play across platforms from day one in Rainbow Six: Extraction. That means you can squad up across the following platforms:
- PlayStation 4
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox One
- Xbox Series S/X
If you can't decide which platform to play on, then there's good news there, too. Ubisoft has confirmed cross-progression and cross-save will be available on launch day, too.
As for Rainbow Six: Siege, cross-play is being rolled out in phases. The game will get crossplay between PC, Stadia and Amazon Luna on June 30th.
Xbox and PlayStation players will need to wait until early 2022 to play against each other.
