Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the all-new Pokémon installation that puts a spin on the traditional Pokémon formula. With fewer menus and more seamless battling, the title grants players more freedom when it comes to catching Pokémon. With that in mind, releasing Pokémon has always been a core component of these games, but things work a little differently in the new title.

After falling straight out of the sky and into the ancient region of Hisui, your player must work for its keep by studying Pokémon across the land and filling out the Pokédex. Amidst all this, you must battle with enraged Alpha Pokémon and frenzied Noble Pokémon, and work out what is happening to them.

As you continually report your findings to Professor Laventon and catch 'mons, you'll find that your Pastures will run out of space rather quickly (alongside your Satchel). If you have Pastures full of Bidoofs and Psyducks, there's going to come a time when you need to release them. So, we've explained how to mass release multiple Pokémon at once in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Fortunately, mass releasing multiple Pokémon from your Pastures at once isn't difficult. However, it can be relatively easy to miss how you do it, and you might find yourself wasting precious time releasing 'mons one by one.

Every Pokémon that you catch that doesn't go into your party will be sent to a Pasture, which are an ancient version of using PCs to store your Pokémon in boxes. The issue with ancient Hisui, however, is that these Pastures can very easily fill up. You start your game with eight Pastures, and can later have 16, all of which can hold up to 30 Pokémon each.

Holding 240 to 480 Pokémon captive in your Pastures may sound like a lot, but if you're throwing Poké Balls left, right, and centre, these will fill up much faster than you may think!

First things first, the option to release multiple Pokémon at once will only become available after you fill up your Pastures. Once you run into this lack of space, the Pokémon Keeper will comment on how you have caught so many 'mons and filled up your Pastures. The option to release multiple Pokémon at once will unlock after this interaction.

Once unlocked, you'll need to visit the Pasture in Jubilife Village or speak with the Galaxy Member at one of your Base Camps and ask to see your Pokémon. Once you're able to view all of your Pastures and the Pokémon in them, you can press 'Y' to toggle the selection tool between single and multiple selection.

When you have multiselect enabled, select which Pokémon you wish to release. All the Pokémon due to be set free will have a yellow check beside them, and you'll be able to press 'X' again to release them. You'll be asked if you're sure of this, and can then press 'A' to release your chosen Pokémon.

That's all you need to know about mass releasing all the 'mons you've caught in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
