How to Catch Noble Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

As Pokémon Legends: Arceus nears its release date, The Pokémon Company is slowly releasing more information about the open-world adventure. There are a lot of differences from the games we know and love, but players are already excited to explore the Hisui region, craft some steampunk PokéBalls, and find out what the game has to offer.

Whether you're looking to capture every confirmed Pokémon in Legends: Arceus to complete your 'Dex or just try out the new Hisuian forms, it looks like you'll be well served with a variety of Pokémon roaming in their natural habitats.

However, there is one type of Pokémon that remains a mystery. A brand new addition to Legends: Arceus, Noble Pokémon, seem to be minibosses of sorts, clad in yellow shields and hiding behind mysterious Wardens - trainers to whom you must prove your worth.

Here's everything we know about Legends: Arceus' Noble Pokémon so far:

What Are Noble Pokémon in Legends: Arceus?

Noble Pokémon look like minibosses of the Hisui region, and are large, powerful beasts that need to be battled before they can be captured.

Each Noble Pokémon has a yellow shield when you first encounter them, as they are in a "frenzied" state. You can stun them with your Pokémon, but the most important thing is to throw Balms at them to reduce their shields.

The Balms are likely crafted, as you need to throw a Balm made of ingredients that the Pokémon likes - for instance Kleavor needs a Forest Balm, although we don't know exactly what that constitutes just yet.

However, the Noble Pokémon are guarded by Wardens, trainers who tend to their needs and protect them.

What Are Wardens in Pokémon Legends: Arceus?

Wardens are special trainers who care for the Noble Pokémon. In regular times, they provide offerings of food and protect their land, almost deifying the creatures.

So far, we know about four Wardens thanks to a combination of leaks from 'Eclipse' and official information:

  • Warden Lian protects Noble Kleavor
  • Warden Mai protects Noble Wyrdeer with her buddy Pokémon, Munchlax
  • Warden Iscan protects Noble Basculegion
  • Warden Arezu protects an unknown Noble Pokémon

Here's where to find them and how to catch the Noble Pokémon they protect.

How To Catch Noble Kleavor

Noble Kleavor resides in the Obsidian Fieldlands, protected by Warden Lian. The Bug and Rock-type Scyther evolution will probably be able to be evolved by other means, but the Noble Kleavor will undoubtedly be more powerful and potentially necessary to progress the Pokémon Legends: Arceus story.

You need to stock up on Forest Balms to take out Noble Kleavor's frenzied shield, but at this point we don't know exactly how to craft them or what foods Kleavor likes.

How To Catch Noble Wyrdeer

Noble Wyrdeer resides in the Obsidian Fieldlands, protected by Warden Mai and her adorable Munchlax.

We don't know what Balms Noble Wyrdeer likes, but we imagine it will either be a Field or Mountain Balm, based on its roaming stag appearance.

Noble Basculegion resides near the sea, protected by Warden Iscan. Ironically, Warden Iscan is scared of Ghost-types.

We imagine you'll need some kind of River Balm to deplete Noble Basculegion's frenzied shield.

Noble Pokémon Leaks

As you can tell, we don't know what Pokémon Warden Arezu protects at present. However, we could see it being the mysterious climbing Pokémon that was leaked back in February:

That's everything we know about Legends Arceus' Noble Pokémon for now, but we'll get more information as we get closer to the game's release.
