[Original Story] - The Overwatch Summer Games continues to be a fan-favourite event for many and we finally know when it'll arrive.

It’s a tradition at this point and consistent events like the Summer Games are why so many people love playing Overwatch and we did get confirmation on the event, just not when.

Good news, Overwatch fans. The event will kick off on July 20, as confirmed on the game's Twitter account.

When Does Overwatch Summer Games 2021 Start?

Update: it all kicks off on July 20, meaning we have just a couple of days to go!

Activision-Blizzard did announce that Summer Games would return as part of the Overwatch Anniversary 2021 press release, along with the other Seasonal Events, though a release date has yet to be announced.

While it would be nice if they announced the dates early, the fact of the matter is, Blizzard, tends to announce the events when their dates are really near.

Honestly, we doubt that the Overwatch Summer Games will be announced anytime soon, though previous years might be able to help us out.

Previous years of the Overwatch Summer Games have shown us that this event is usually planned around August, though the last few years have started in July but ended in August.

Unless Activision-Blizzard changes their minds, expect to see the Overwatch Summer Games around July or August, as we doubt this event will start sometime in June, though we’re willing to be proven wrong.

Aside from the in-game events, which are usually a lot of fun, fans are also excited about the possible Summer Skins that can come with the Overwatch Summer Games.

The designers usually do a great job with their outfits and we can’t wait to see what they have planned this year.
