Overwatch 2021 Annual Events And When They Might Happen

Its competition may have grown over the years but Overwatch continues to be one of the most popular hero shooters around, especially now that a sequel is on the way with an actual story mode.

Since the sequel won’t be coming out anytime soon, at least according to the folks at Blizzard, fans have been looking forward to the Overwatch annual events, which have been a big tradition for the shooter.

Overwatch 2021 Annual Events And When They Might Happen

Overwatch already went through its Lunar Year Event, so fans are waiting for the Overwatch Archives event that happens in either March or April.

We’re already more than midway through March, we’re sure the Overwatch Archives will happen in April unless Blizzard does a surprise reveal in late March.

It’s worth noting that Overwatch Archives wasn’t leaked last year so something similar might happen in 2021.

The Overwatch Anniversary event is also something that has fans excited since Blizzard usually goes out of their way to give players a good time and great rewards.

Overwatch came out on May 24 but the 2019 and 2020 Anniversary events happened on May 21 and May 19 respectively so determining its true date is tough.

Fans have assumed it will happen sometime from May 18 to May 25.

Summer Games is a bit harder to predict since the Overwatch event has happened on different dates, with 2020 holding the event in August, while the 2019 iteration happened in July.

We’ll assume that the pandemic had something to do with the 2020 version happening late so the 2021 version could be a little earlier this time, though July to August is still the likely bets.

Halloween Terror will definitely happen sometime in October because no one ever wants to be late for a Halloween event, especially Overwatch, as the devs have always finished these in time.

Winter Wonderland has also made its December deadlines in 2019 and 2020 so expect the same for 2021.

Overwatch is now available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
