Octopath Traveler's prequel is out now on mobile platforms, and here's how to get the best 5-Star characters with our Octopath Traveler Champions of the Continent reroll guide.

Gacha games work on a percentage chance system, meaning there is no guarantee that you'll get the characters you hope for. Unless, of course, you reroll to try again. The practice is common, especially with mobile games, as it is quick and easy to reset your account and try again for those all-important S-tier fighters.

While we await Octopath Traveler Champions of the Continent's release, check out our Octopath Traveler Champions of the Continent tier list and matching Octopath Traveler Champions of the Continent codes page to prepare your teams ahead of time.

Octopath Traveler Champions of the Continent - How To Reroll

To reroll on Android, follow these steps:

  • Clear the app cache
  • Clear the app data
  • Relaunch the game and redo the tutorial.

To reroll on iOS, follow these steps:

  • Completely uninstall the game.
  • Reinstall the game.
  • Launch it, and redo the tutorial.

Rerolling in gacha games is usually quite simple, but will require you to complete some tutorials or early levels. Octopath Traveler is no different. You'll be guaranteed to get a 5-Star character when you start the game, but there is chance it won't be who you want.

To be able to reroll, you'll need to launch Octopath Traveler, and follow the tutorial levels. Once you're through them, you'll get a gift of Rubies to your mailbox - this will be for your first pulls.

These pulls will grant you two five-star characters. But if you're not a fan of the ones you got, or want to try your luck at getting better fighters, you can reroll.

Why Should I Reroll In Octopath Traveler Champions of the Continent?

Gacha games all have characters ranked by rarity, which usually translates to how well they perform in combat, and in a team setting. Personal preference is a big factor too, which is why some players choose to reroll to get a different set of 5-Star characters.

For instance, if you start the game and pull a Light and Dark character, but they're not what you want. You want Fire or Ice. Rerolling allows you to try again. And again, and again, and again until you get who you want - there is no limit on how many rerolls you can do.
