With the right Honkai Star Rail Himeko build, you'll be pulling out stellar counterattacks and serious area damage. Himeko is a powerful AOE damage dealer in Honkai Star Rail and she can put in a lot of work with the right setup. With optimal light cones and relics, you can breeze through any set of enemies the game throws at you.
Himeko is very energy-hungry. You'll need to have enough energy restoration in your build to ensure you can spam her ultimate, which is her primary damage source. As she doesn't need multiple five-star units to make her work, Himeko is a great pull for free-to-play accounts.
How to get Himeko in Honkai Star Rail
Once she departs your team at the end of the prologue, you'll have a hard time adding Himeko back into your squad. This five-star unit is available in the Character Event Warp you can reroll for, the Departure Warp, and the standard Stellar Warp. Getting her out of the rest of the character pool won't be easy.

Best light cone for Himeko
If you are looking for the perfect light cone for Himeko, look no further than the Night on the Milky Way. It is her best-in-slot light cone and synergizes flawlessly with her kit. If you do not have access to the five-star light cone, Sagacity and The Seriousness of Breakfast are also great options.
Night on the Milky Way: For every enemy on the field, increases the wearer's ATK by 8%, up to 5 times. When an enemy is inflicted with Weakness Break, the wearer's DMG increases by 24% for 1 turn.
Sagacity: When the wearer uses Ultimate, it increases ATK by 24% for 2 turns.
The Seriousness of Breakfast: Increases the wearer’s DMG by 12%. For every defeated enemy, the wearer’s ATK increases by 4%, stacking up to 4 times.
Best relics for Himeko
There are plenty of great relic options for Himeko. The Firesmith of Lava Forging is the go-to relic set for any Fire DPS and is the best option for her. But getting access to the relic set takes a while and if you don’t have access to five-star relics due to low Trailblaze level you can go for lower rarity relics from the Sprightly Vonwacq set or Musketeer of Wild Wheat set instead.
Firesmith of Lava-Forging
- 2-Piece Bonus: Increases Fire DMG by 10%.
- 4-Piece Bonus: Increases the wearer's Skill DMG by 12%. After unleashing Ultimate, it increases the wearer's Fire DMG by 12% for the next attack.
Sprightly Vonwacq
- 2-Piece Bonus: Increases the wearer's Energy Regeneration Rate by 5%. When the wearer's SPD reaches 145 or higher, the wearer's action is Advanced Forward by 50% immediately upon entering battle.
Musketeer of Wild Wheat
- 2-Piece Bonus: ATK increases by 10%.
- 4-Piece Bonus: The wearer's SPD increases by 6% and Basic ATK DMG increases by 10%.
You want to focus on crit rate, crit damage, attack, and speed to boost Himeko’s damage. She also needs a small amount of energy restoration to ensure she gets her Ultimate up as frequently as possible.
What are Himeko’s abilities?
Himeko’s primary damage sources are her skill and ultimate. You want to save your skill points to use Himeko’s Molten Detonation as frequently as possible when you are going up against multiple enemies. Her traces are also very potent and you should try to unlock them as quickly as possible.

We recommend against going for Eidolons for five-star characters unless you already have a diverse roster for all roles and elements. Himeko’s Eidolons are not as game-changing as some of the other five stars in the game with the exception of her sixth Eidolon which adds a massive amount of damage.
