Genshin Impact 4.2 countdown - release date and banner details

Genshin Impact 4.2 is one of the most important patches of this year as the long-awaited Hydro archon is set to make her debut on her banner. Our Genshin Impact 4.2 countdown guide will go over all of the release dates and times for all regions as well as a quick rundown of the banners that are coming.

If you're someone who collects all the archons, then you are in luck. The Hydro archon Furina is finally coming to the game, and you will be able to obtain her during the first half of the patch. She is expected to be an excellent support for elemental reaction-based teams like Hyperbloom and Electrocharged.

But before heading into the Genshin Impact patch 4.2 countdown, be sure to check out our pre-farming guides for Charlotte and Furina in case you're saving your Primogems for them. Both characters will be available on the same banner, so you might be able to snag them both when wishing.

Genshin Impact 4.2 countdown

The 4.2 update is set to release on November 7 or 8 2023, depending on your region. We have the release times mentioned for some of the common time zones for each region below, as well as a handy countdown for you to keep track of.

Americas Server (November 7, 2023)

• Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time: 5:00 PM
• Alaska Daylight Time: 7:00 PM
• Pacific Daylight Time: 8:00 PM
• Mountain Daylight Time: 9:00 PM
• Central Daylight Time: 10:00 PM
• Eastern Daylight Time: 11:00 PM

Asia (November 8, 2023)

• India Standard Time: 8:30 AM
• China Standard Time: 11:00 AM
• Philippines Standard Time: 11:00 AM
• Japanese Standard Time: 12:00 AM
• Korea Standard Time: 12:00 AM
• Bangladesh Standard Time: 9:00 AM
• Pakistan Standard Time: 8:00 AM

Europe (November 8, 2023)

• Western European Summer Time (UK): 4:00 AM
• Central European Summer Time: 5:00 AM
• Eastern European Summer Time: 6:00 AM

Do note, however, that the release times are for the launch of the patch and the first-half banners. The second-half banners will go live around November 27 or November 28 depending on your region. So if you are waiting for Cyno or Kamisato Ayato, you’ll need to wait a little longer before you can spend your Primogems on their banners.

Banners for Genshin Impact 4.2 update

The first-half banner will feature the following characters:

• Banner One: Furina, Beidou, Charlotte, Collei
• Banner Two: Baizhu, Beidou, Charlotte, Collei

Furina and Baizhu have individual rate-up banners with the four stars being common across both banners. But during the second half, we will get Kamisato Ayato and Cyno as the rate-up characters with their individual banners.

So if you want to get the signature weapons for any of the rate-up five stars, the weapon banners will feature them as well. However, do remember to use the Epitomized Path feature on the weapon banner to guarantee the weapons you need.
