Genshin Impact Furina materials farming guide

With Genshin Impact version 4.2 released, we saw the debut of the much anticipated Hydro Archon of Fontaine, Furina. Players have speculated a lot about her kit and playstyle, and she's shaping up to be a really exciting addition to any team. If you're excited to get her, you should get ready for Furina's ascension and talent materials with this Genshin Impact Furina material farming guide.

We will be going over all the materials that she needs for her ascensions and where you can find each of them. We will also be covering her talent upgrades and the total materials required for that. So, let's get on with the list of Furina upgrade materials.

Furina Ascension materials

Here are the materials required for ascending Furina and where to find them.

Mora and EXP

• Hero's Wit x419
• 7.1 million Mora

You can collect Mora and EXP books by completing Ley Line challenges, events, and story missions.

Varunda Crystals

• One Varunada Lazurite Sliver
• Nine Varunada Lazurite Fragments
• Nine Varunada Lazurite Chunks
• Six Varunada Lazurite Gemstones

You can farm Varunda Crystals by defeating Hydro bosses such as the Oceanid and the Hydro Hypotasis or any upcoming new Hydro bosses released in Fontaine. You can also use alchemy to convert your other elemental crystals into Hydro crystals.

Whopperflower Nectar

• Whopperflower Nectar x18
• Shimmering Nectar x30
• Energy Nectar x36

This resource can be a bit annoying to farm as you'll have to learn the locations of all the Whopperflowers across Teyvat. Luckily, there are plenty of them, and you can fight up to 200 of them in a single day. We suggest using the Genshin Interactive map to track down these pesky Whopperflowers.

Local Specialty

• Lakelight Lily x168

Lakelight Lily is a Fontaine local speciality, and Furina will be using it for both her ascensions and talent upgrades. Therefore, you'll need a lot of these. Unfortunately, you can't prefarm them as they spawn near the Erinnyes Forest area of the Fontaine region, which was released with Genshin Impact update 4.2 on November 8, 2023.

Normal boss material

• Water that Failed to Transcend x46

This will be the boss material drop and will be dropped by Lv. 60+ Hydro Mimic Humans.

Justice Talent books

• Teachings of Justice x9
• Guide to Justice x63
• Philosophies of Justice x114

You can farm these from the Pale Forgotten Glory Domain located to the northeast of Poisson. Note that this domain will only be available on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday).
