Looking to play the MultiVersus closed alpha? This first period of testing for the upcoming Warner Bros. fighting game gets underway very soon, so it's no surprise to see players desperate to get into this limited-time playtest. Luckily, we're here with all the key information you need to know about this first glimpse of MultiVersus fun.
In this MultiVersus guide, we'll go through the closed alpha start and end dates, so you know exactly how long you'll get to try out this early build of the game. That is, if you manage to get on: as we'll dig into, not everyone is guaranteed an alpha code, so you need to learn how to sign up. We'll also look ahead to the open beta, which was recently confirmed to occur later this summer.
Elsewhere in MultiVersus, we've got a list of all confirmed voice actors, so you can see who plays your favourite fighter. We've also got plenty of Roblox codes if they're up your street, with some Pet Simulator X codes and even brand new Slayers Unleashed codes.
When Is The MultiVersus Closed Alpha?
The MultiVersus closed alpha test starts on May 19, 2022 running for eight days until May 26, 2022. That gives you well over a week to explore the game, seeing the characters and maps available in this early build.
The MultiVersus closed alpha comes with fifteen characters, including the newly announced Tazmanian Devil from Looney Toons. On top of that, you'll get access to plenty of licensed maps, with favourites including the iconic Batcave, and Scooby Doo's Haunted Mansion. However, not all characters are unlocked by default, so you'll have to play through the game to unlock them all.
There are four different game modes on offer, with 2v2 fights, a 1v1 mode, free-for-all, and a practice arena called The Lab. During the closed alpha you'll be able to play any of these modes, with the entire roster of maps and characters currently available.
How Do I Sign Up For The MultiVersus Closed Alpha?
The good news is that at the time of writing, signups for the MultiVersus closed alpha are still open. Simply head over to the game's website, hit the bright orange sign-up button, and enter your WB Games account details.
Note that signing up doesn't guarantee you access to the closed alpha. It seems that applying will only give you a chance of getting a code, likely selected at random.
The website states that room on the alpha is limited, so there's a chance you could get unlucky and not get access despite signing up.
When Is The MultiVersus Closed Alpha End Date?
The MultiVersus closed alpha ends on May 27, 2022. That gives you more than a week to test out all the characters and modes, and to get an early idea of which fighters perform best.
Sadly, progress from this early test won't carry over to further beta tests, or the full game once released. Don't get too attached to the unlocks and fighter builds you make, because it'll be gone and inaccessible as soon as this alpha ends.
MultiVersus Open Beta Details
Details are slim right now, but WB Games has confirmed that a MultiVersus open beta is coming later this summer. If you miss out on access to the alpha due to the limited space, then you'll definitely be able to try the game out in beta testing.
So far, all we know is that the open beta will occur at some point in July 2022. There's no confirmation yet on the precise dates, though it'll likely be for a ten-day period, the same as this alpha. You'll probably have to sign up once more, and remember that existing players won't be able to carry over their progress. It's a shame, but at least it means there will be a level playing field for newcomers to MultiVersus.
That's it for our look at the MultiVersus closed alpha! While not everyone will be able to access it, those lucky players will still have a good time. While you're here, feel free to check out our early look at the upcoming Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3!
