Warner Bros. finally revealed the MultiVersus character roster, and while not everyone shown in recent leaks appeared, there's plenty of room for more. As expected from the name, and other datamined information, MultiVersus pits characters from multiple Warner Bros. franchises together in team-based 2-on-2 combat.
The initial roster includes 13 characters, ranging from Game of Thrones' Arya Stark to Shaggy from Scooby-Doo. Warner Bros. promised new seasons and content, so the roster is likely to grow more after MultiVersus launches sometime in 2022.
"Featuring matches with a strong emphasis on online cooperative gameplay, every fighter will be outfitted with a deep set of combat mechanics that distinguish the game’s fresh take on 2 vs. 2 gameplay," Warner Bros said in the announcement. "This allows combatants to boast customizable movesets that combine dynamically with other characters as they battle for supremacy."

As mentioned, new seasons will likely bring new characters. MultiVerssus is free-to-play, so it's possible any new fighters could be locked behind paywalls as well.
