Melty Blood Type Lumina: Vlov Arkhangel Character Reveal, Fights Foes With Fire Then Ice

Type Moon Games have recently revealed that Vlov Arkhangel will be the 11th character revealed to join the initial roster of Melty Blood Type Lumina. This character is a villain who can control heat to bend fire and ice toward his foes. Here's what else we know about Vlov's inclusion in the game.

Melty Blood Type Lumina's 11th Character

As seen on the official Type Moon Games Youtube channel, Vlov Arkhangel's gameplay video was just released. As seen in his reveal, Vlov looks more reserved compared to most of the game's cast. However, this character is not to be underestimated as he is one of the main villains in the Tsukihime - A Piece Of Blue Glass Moon - visual novel. This game is the source material for Melty Blood Type Lumina as seen in its pool of initial playable characters.

In the story, Vlov Arkhangel is a strong Dead Apostle vampire who fights using a sword and his control over heat. Vlov's powers can be flexible as he can turn up the heat to throw flames at his foes and hit up as low as sub-zero temperatures to hurt foes with ice.

Fights With Fire Then Ice

In his appearance in Melty Blood Type Lumina, Vlov doesn't have full access to both his fire and ice powers at all times. At the beginning of the match, most of his special moves are fire-based. However, Vlov immediately changes his powers to mostly ice-based once he loses one round. Regardless of when he loses, one loss will force Vlov to use Ice special moves only until the match is over.

So far, the only confirmed benefit for his powers is that his Ice-based special moves come out faster than his fire special moves.

Zoner Character

Due to his far-reaching attacks and large coverage of his special moves, Vlov Arkhangel looks like a zoner character that overwhelms his foes as they're forced to approach him. His large sword swings and enormous coverage with his fire and ice attacks will force his foes to find a way to get in unless they're going to repeatedly get hit with these far reaching moves.

We'll have to wait on the game's release on September 30 to see how effective will these moves be.
