Type-Moon Games has recently announced that they'll have an incoming annonucement for the 10th character release for Melty Blood Type Lumina this September 10. However, this character will be a spoiler for the visual novel that this fighting game was based from. Here's what we know about this incoming character.
Melty Blood Type Lumina 10th Character Reveal
As seen on the official Type-Moon Games Twitter, the developers have confirmed of the incoming announcement for the next character in Melty Blood Type Lumina. However, this character will be a spoiler for the recent Tsukihime - A Piece of Blue Glass Moon- visual novel. This video game is the source material for the Melty Blood Type Lumina characters and was just released this August 26, 2021 in Japan.
However, this visual novel is only available in Japanese which locks out the non-Japanese speaking English audience. On the other end, Melty Blood Type Lumina will have English language support which could spoil some of the Western fans and players of the game looking forward for this visual novel's translation.
Who Could This Character Be? (SPOILER ALERT)
In the Tsukihime - A Piece Of Blue Glass Moon -, the developers have introduced a whole new main antagonist which many fans have never seen before in the series. This new character is Vlov Arkhangel who is a Dead Apostle vampire and has powers to control heat as he likes. Due to this power, Vlov can make blazing fires and blizzard storms whenever he likes. In compliment to his control over making fire and ice, he has a transformable weapon that turns to a sword when he uses flames and turns into a lance when he uses ice.
In many of visual novels cover art and promotional material, Vlov Arkhangel is not shown and can be considered as a surprise for the players who reach far in the visual novel. Revealing this character for this fighting game could be a major spoiler for the hopeful Tsukihime visual novel fans waiting for its translated version.
Alternatively, it could be new characters introduced in the Tsukihime - A Piece Of Blue Glass Moon - visual novel which could be similar or less significance to the main antagonist of the source game of Melty Blood Type Lumina. As this fighting game mostly follows its source material, the full story of Melty Blood Type Lumina could end with a duel against powerful vampire.
For now, we'll have to wait for the full reveal this September 10 to know who this character will be.
