The Call of Duty footballing festivities shows no signs of slowing down as Warzone 2 prepares to kick into Season One Reloaded. The mid-season update includes the arrival of the Chimera assault rifle in addition to the Gaz Operator. The Warzone Cup limited-time mode (LTM) is a brand-new mode providing an alternative to the usual dose of battle royale action.

Rather than becoming the last squad standing at the end of a match, the Warzone Cup sees two teams of three hop onto their quad bikes with one objective. Score more goals than the others!

What is the Warzone Cup LTM?

As mentioned above, the Warzone Cup features two teams of three drop into a football stadium on quad bikes. Think Rocket League placed into the Call of Duty universe. The team that manages to score five goals, or the most, at the end of the five-minute timer is the winner.

In addition to scoring goals, you'll have access to a pulse ability that moves the ball and the opponents out of the way. You can also obtain Shock Sticks that halt the other team in their tracks.

Warzone Cup LTM start date

The Warzone Cup LTM arrives as part of the Season One Reloaded update on December 14. As it's an LTM, there's a high chance it disappears after a couple of weeks so if you're after a chance of showcasing your driving skills and the ability to score a screamer from the halfway line, now is your chance!

With the football action slowly winding down, the mode is the third and final piece of themed content coming to Warzone 2. If you're a fan of the different themes, then the latest Season Two leaks will have you interested to see what Infinity Ward has in store.
