Season Three is already shaping up nicely with the return of the iconic Intervention sniper rifle and a legendary multiplayer map from 2009's Modern Warfare 2. In addition to the new guns and maps, there are new Operators to unlock and the long-awaited return of the popular Gunfight game mode.

What's in the Warzone 2 and MW2 Season 3 roadmap?

Although the developers haven't shared the official roadmap yet, we already know some of the content making its way to multiplayer and the battle royale. Alejandro and Valeria are the two playable Operators alongside a brand-new battle pass and the aforementioned Intervention.

Gunfight from 2019's Modern Warfare 2 makes a return and there's a high chance of other modes appearing to inject a breath of fresh air into multiplayer.

There's also a brand-new Gulag, redeploy drones on Al Mazrah, Tempered armour vests, and UAV towers designed to improve the pace of play. For MW2, three new multiplayer maps are on the way alongside two new maps for Ground War.

We've got 3 new guns coming in Season 3. The FJX Imperium and Cronen Squall are part of the Battle Pass while the TEC-9 pistol arrives at a later date.

When does Warzone 2 and MW2 Season 3 start?

Season Three for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 is set to kick off on April 12 assuming there are no delays preventing the update from rolling out. With so much content arriving, there's every chance a preloading period takes place a few days prior so keep an eye out for any potential opportunities to download the update ahead of time.

After Season Three, rumours suggest there are only two more seasons before all eyes turn towards what Call of Duty 2023 has in store. Will we see any teasers in the next few weeks? We'll have to wait and see.
