Is Starfield coming to PS5?
Unfortunately, we are about to disappoint all fans of Bethesda games who prefer to play on Sony consoles. Starfield will not be released on any Sony console. So, those who own a PS4 or PS5 will not be able to play the game. At least not at launch.
However, this is not a reason to be disappointed, as it may be released on PlayStation consoles in the future. One of the modern trends in the gaming industry is “temporary” exclusives. These are the games that were exclusive for some platforms for a couple of years and then received versions for other devices. Perhaps Starfield will be one of those games. That said, given Bethesda is owned outright by Microsoft, it's unlikely.
Why isn’t Starfield on PS5 and what platforms will it be available on?
Well, Starfield is a game developed by Bethesda, which belongs to Microsoft. So, their game is exclusive to Microsoft platforms. At launch, you will be able to play Starfield on PC or Xbox Series X|S. The game will not be available on Xbox One, which is unfortunate.
