Many players are wondering about the Spider-Man 2 villains. Now we know that Spider-Man 2 is coming in October 2023, heads are now turning to the adversaries players will battle. We've already seen trailers and even gameplay showcases containing some hints, so who exactly are they?
In this guide, we’ve compiled all the Spider-Man 2 villains, including the confirmed and rumoured ones. We'll keep this piece updated as more are announced.
All Spider-Man 2 villains so far
Insomniac Games has hinted at some upcoming villains for this sequel in the first game in the series and its DLCs. Still, we've far from seen the entire list of villains in the game. Here's the list of the confirmed characters so far:

Venom was confirmed as one of the main villains during Spider-Man 2's reveal at the PlayStation Showcase 2021. In the latest footage, released in May 2023, we also saw Peter Parker wearing a black Spider-Man suit, hinting that this game will follow the beloved Symbiote saga from the comics.

Kraven, also known as Kraven the Hunter, was shown in the latest Gameplay Reveal, at the start of the trailer. Following the beloved comic arc Kraven's Last Hunt, Kraven comes to New York in search of his fiercest opponent, wishing to prove himself by defeating Spider-Man. He'll likely be one of the main villains in Spider-Man 2, but not as over-arching as Venom.

Since The Amazing Spider-Man #6, Dr. Curt Connors, or The Lizard, became one of the favourite villains for many Spider-Man fans. Of course, he will make an appearance in the new Spider-Man game. It was confirmed during Spider-Man 2 gameplay reveal, as we saw him doing battle with Miles Morales in a water-based boss fight.
What other villains will be in Spider-Man 2?
Even since the game was announced in late 2021, rumours have swirled about the Spider-Man 2 villains we may see. So, we have a solid idea of the villains that could be added to the game.
Here's the list of the potential enemies:
- Wraith
- Black Cat
- The Prowler
- Taskmaster
- Kingpin
Note these adversaries are not officially confirmed. We'll have to wait for more news on the game before we get to see any more of Spider-Man's rogues gallery!
