How to change difficulty in Spider-Man 2
Finding Spider-Man 2 a bit too easy, or too tough? Fortunately, you have an easy way to adjust the difficulty in the curve to suit your style of play and how much of a challenge you want. The process is as simple as entering the in-game Pause menu, hitting Settings, then changing the Challenge Level.
The Challenge Level is just the fancy way of Insomniac saying game difficulty, and the options are very Spidey-themed. You can adjust how tough the game is from the following options
- Friendly Neighbourhood (You cannot die in this mode)
- Friendly
- Amazing
- Spectacular
- Ultimate
It is worth noting that Ultimate difficulty won't be available on your initial playthrough. But if you manage to complete the main story, you'll have the opportunity to experience the narrative again in a far more challenging setting.
In addition to being able to change the overall Challenge Level, you can also change the Challenge Level Modifiers. This is a new and unique feature to Spider-Man 2 that enables you to create the deepest difficulty customisation to date.
