Now that you have the game, you may be wondering how the Resident Evil 4 remake post game works. If so, this is everything you need to know, from alternate outfits to brand new difficulty modes.

In this guide, we'll run through everything that's still left to do once you beat Resident Evil 4 remake for the first time. Of course, you can replay the game, but Capcom has added a few extras to make those replays more worthwhile.

Resident Evil 4 remake post game explained

There are a handful of major things that you unlock in the Resident Evil 4 remake after finishing the story mode for the first time. First off, you get a handful of alternate costumes and accessories that can be equipped for subsequent playthroughs. These are as follows:

  • Pinstripe (Leon)
  • Sunglasses (Round)
  • Foam Mask
  • Flight Cap
  • Glasses (Square)
  • Iron Helmet
  • Knitted Hat

You'll also witness a spoiler-filled post credits scene, which brings plenty of cameos and hints at further remasters for beloved fans. You can read about the full scene in all of its glory here.

Finally, you unlock Professional mode, a brand new difficulty mode. In this, the game is much more difficult with more resilient and tough enemies. As well as this, all ammo drops are much less generous, so you need to make each bullet count. This will make a second playthrough much tougher but also more rewarding. On top of that, it's one of the Resident Evil 4 trophies, so you'll need to beat the game on Professional to get 100%.
