Is MultiVersus cross platform?

Yes, MultiVersus has cross platform play on launch. This means, no matter what console your friends play on, you can match up against them.

As well as being able to search for people, you match against strangers from every platform online. If you go into your settings, you can change this at any moment. Turning off cross platform play will mean you can't play against your friends though.

To go along with this, the game also has cross progression. If you decide to upgrade your console or switch platform, you get to keep all that you've earned. As of right now, MultiVersus has a confirmed launch on:

How does MultiVersus early access work?

If you wanted to play the game ahead of its traditional open beta launch, you could buy the game to get early access.

Is MultiVersus free to play?

Yes, MultiVersus is free to play. The game will launch into an open beta on July 26 with in-game cosmetics to monetise its development.

It is unclear when this beta will end but the site says the game is free to play so it seems it will launch out of beta for free. This will likely mark the start of a new battle pass and some extra arenas or fighters. The team are currently gearing up for long-term growth and, if it launches right, it could do that.
