Modern Warfare 3 has entered its campaign early access window and players are already working their way through the extensive mission list in addition to earning plenty of trophies and achievements along the way. Precious Cargo is the second mission of the single-player campaign and is the first Open Combat Mission, meaning there are several ways to beat this level.

Modern Warfare 3 Precious Cargo walkthrough

The mission begins with you playing as Farah following a Konni Group attack on a military base. Only equipped with a combat knife, head towards a shipping container marked with the Shadow Company logo.

Inside the container is a wealth of equipment ranging from armour plates, equipment, and a suppressed MTZ-556 assault rifle which is bound to come in handy as the mission progresses.

Acquire GPS trackers

The next step involves getting your hands on GPS trackers located on the huge ship that's docked in the harbour. The area is littered with Konni Group soldiers, so keep searching through the Shadow Company containers to bolster your firepower even further.

There are several ways you can access the ship to obtain the trackers. In our playthrough, we climbed to the top of the yellow vehicles that move shipping containers and parachuted straight onto the ship for an added element of surprise.

With the trackers in your possession, it's now time to retrieve the harbour manifest.

After grabbing the trackers, head towards the second question mark on the minimap. With vehicles and all kinds of weaponry to utilise, you can choose how you want to arrive. We found a Sentry Gun and placed it onto the front of an armoured vehicle for maximum impact when clearing any Konni Group resistance from the building.

With the building now clear, head left and up the staircase located in the red room and onto the second floor. Make your way down the corridor, where you'll find the manifest located on top of a desk.

Plant the trackers

With several enemies aware of your whereabouts, it's time to plant the trackers. The first container is located on the south side of the loading bay. Head there to plant the first of two trackers.

The second container is suspended by a yellow lift. Use the Ascender to utilise the handy zipline or make your way up the staircase towards the front of the container. The choice is yours. Once the tracker is planted, a cutscene will play, revealing the Konni Group managed to get hold of the missiles.
