How to find Takechi in Like a Dragon: Ishin

In order to get a pistol and progress through the main story quest, you need to find Takechi. This task will be available after the Kengoshi Schoolhouse quests. You will get a quest to find Takechi Hanpeita. Fortunately, it is not that difficult. You just need to follow the next steps:

• Go to the northeastern part of the map.
• Search for the Takechi Dojo near the Uomi Fish Market.
• Speak to the Gate Guard. Unfortunately, he won’t let you pass. This is the moment that confuses most people, as it is unclear what you need to do to pass through the guard.
• Go back to the market and turn left after you climb down the stairs.
• There you will see a man oppressed by a few samurais.
• These oppressors are called Fake Tosa Loyalists, and you will need to beat them.
• After that, you will be noticed by a true Tosa Loyalist Party member named Shimada Yahei.
• Finish your conversation with Shimada Yahei and go back to the Takechi Dojo.
• This time the Gate Guard should let you in.

As you can see, the most problematic part of this task is finding a way to get inside the dojo. It can be unclear what you need to do after the Gate Guard refuses to let you in. However, if you know what exactly the game wants you to do, the task shouldn’t be so problematic.
