Honkai: Star Rail's Gallagher has finally appeared as one of the newest characters coming to the game with the launch of the 2.1 update.
Similar to other Honkai: Star Rail updates, these new characters come with unique skills and abilities of their own, making the game more fun and engaging for HSR fans. One such character coming to Honkai: Star Rail’s Version 2.1 is the vigilant Gallagher.

Honkai Star Rail Gallagher release date estimate
Gallagher is expected to be a part of Honkai: Star Rail’s Version 2.1 update releasing on March 20, 2024. He will be released alongside two powerful five-star characters, Aventurine and Acheron. Gallagher will likely feature in the first half of the patch, however, the actual date of his appearance will be confirmed after the 2.1 Special Program.
If Gallagher is expected to arrive in the second half of the game, players will have to wait for a few more weeks, till April 10, 2024, before they can add him to their teams.
Honkai Star Rail Gallagher abilities
While HoYoVerse hasn’t officially revealed all of Gallagher’s abilities, the HSR community has found some reliable leaks that give a pretty good idea of what he is capable of.
Basic Attack
Gallagher deals Fire Damage to a single target based on a certain percentage of his Attack.
Enhanced Basic Attack
Gallagher can also deal Fire Damage to a single enemy based on a certain percentage of his Attack and reduce the target’s Attack for X turns.
Skill
Gallagher heals his allies based on a percentage of his Attack stats.
Ultimate
Gallagher inflicts an AoE Fire damage based on a percentage of his Attack to all enemies and also enhances the next Basic Attack to Enhanced Basic Attack. This effect can only be triggered once. Additionally inflicts Besotted on all enemies, which lasts for two turns.
Talent
All enemies who are Besotted take increased Break Damage and each time these enemies are attacked, Gallagher regenerates a certain percentage of HP for himself.
Technique
Gallagher immediately attacks all enemies on the battlefield. He does this by dealing Fire Damage equal to a percentage of his Attack and inflicts Besotted on all the targets for X turns.
Honkai Star Rail Gallagher Eidolons
Gallagher’s Eidolons aren’t very impressive and only provide slightly offensive boosts. A couple of his Eidolons haven’t even been revealed yet. The table below demonstrates the rest of Gallagher’s alleged Eidolons.
