While making progress through the story of Fae Farm can be exhausting, the dungeons are where the game's pacing can really start to slow. If you're eager to get through the Floating Ruins as quickly as possible and want bigger Fairbreath potions, this guide will explain how to get Spore Essence in Fae Farm.

Like clover feed before it, Spore Essence can be hard to come by if you're not sure what you're looking for. Beyond its use in potions, you'll also need at least five Spore Essence spare to complete the Sour But Sweet story quest.

How to get Spore Essence in Fae Farm

As mentioned previously, Spore Essence in Fae Farm is a bit like steel cut clover; it's made from a plant found growing wild and must be refined in a potion ingredients station. If you've not made one already, crafting the potions ingredients station requires:

  • Threee Flutterwood lumber
  • Five Clay brick
  • Two Glass

Once it's been placed, you should start searching the Floating Ruins for Sporeweed. It first starts appearing on floor seven, and has a 'very high' chance of spawning on every floor after that. You'll need a sickle of at least Feyrite quality to harvest it, which can be found in high numbers on the first ten floors.

Look out for Sporeweed from the seventh floor onwards.

One Spore Essence is then made by refining four pieces of Sporeweed in a potion ingredients station. The Floating Ruins will have you running back and forth a lot, so be sure to unlock the Wayshrine outside.
