There's a real emphasis on cosiness in Fae Farm. From its soundtrack by Cris Velasco to the laidback mechanics, it's easy to lose yourself in Azoria for hours. Every in-game day starts in a cramped little house, though, and that's no good! Here's how to upgrade to a bigger house in Fae Farm.

Upgrades should be unlocked as soon as possible, as there's precious little room for cosy furniture in the starting house. Beyond just aesthetics, cosy furniture will make your health, energy, and mana bars larger at the start of each day.

Before you get into the house upgrades, check out our guide to getting fodder. We can also help you get rid of those pesky whirlpools and move your animals if they're always getting in your way.

How to get a bigger house in Fae Farm

To begin upgrading your house in Fae Farm, speak to Aspen in the town centre. There are several upgrades to unlock that get more and more expensive, so keeping money and resources aside is recommended. It's also worth noting that you'll need the resources in your inventory when speaking to Aspen to begin the upgrade.

All house upgrades will apply after sleeping. The first house upgrade adds two or three squares of space to the edges of the room (as well as two new wall decoration slots). To unlock it, you'll need:

  • Florins (2000)
  • Copper ore (25)
  • Beech log (25)

The second house upgrade adds stairs up to a new attic room. It's quite small, but players that don't care for aesthetics can store a bunch of furniture up here to be out-of-sight while still getting the benefits. To unlock it, you'll need:

  • Florins (4000)
  • Iron ore (25)
  • Oak log (25)

The third house upgrade is like the first, adding two or three squares of space to the edges of the main room and attic. Also, the outside of the house will change to look a little better. To unlock it, you'll need:

The third upgrade will also make the outside of your house change for the better.

The fourth house upgrade adds two small rooms to the left and right of the main room. Each one has space for three wall decorations.

  • Florins (8000)
  • Iron ingot (3)
  • Oak lumber (3)

The fifth house upgrade requires resources from the Fae realm, which you'll need to unlock wings to access. It adds more space to the side rooms and attic, and is the final upgrade that can be unlocked.

  • Florins (10,000)
  • Feyrite ore (15)
  • Flutterwood log (15)

That's all you need to know about upgrading your starter house in Fae Farm. While you're here, check out our guide to adding colour to your animals. You can also check out our review of Fae Farm.
