How do Counter Strike 2 ranks work?

Valve has never officially revealed how you move up and down the ranks but the community believes they've figured out how the system works despite the MMR number being hidden from your view.

It's believed that the ranks are determined by your overall performance over the course of a match alongside wins and losses. To improve your rank, improve kill-to-death ratio, damage per round, and earning MVP awards all play a part.

With so many factors to consider, make sure you're working well with your team in order to secure the win.
