A new Grand Theft Auto character has just been revealed by their voice actor.
In a surprisingly casual move, Dave Jackson confirmed he's appearing as "police chief Captain McClane in the new Grand Theft Auto series", though its unclear if this is for a GTA Online update or Grand Theft Auto 6.

In full, Jackson's Facebook post confirmed:
So… I just found out from the producers, that it’s official; I will play the role of police chief CAPTAIN McCLANE in the new Grand Theft Auto series. I didn’t have the heart to tell them that I didn’t really have the time for it! Haha! Yep…someday I WILL take a nap! I know it! I JUST KNOW IT!! haha! Seriously, it is a privilege to work with such a professional and fun group of folks. If you are a gamer, stay tuned….
While many celebrated Jackson's news, one person questioned if he was under a possible NDA. However, the voice actor confirmed "as long as I don’t give out plot points it’s all good," easing potential fears.
As for which game his role relates to, Jackson himself seems unclear, though he advised " “They are producing a trailer, so I hope it’s GTA 6.” Hopefully we'll find out what's up with Captain McClane soon.
