GTA Remastered Trilogy Features Hi-Res Textures, GTA V-Inspired Gameplay

Rockstar finally confirmed the GTA Remastered Collection last week, giving it the lengthy title of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. It compiles three of the franchise's best: Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, and San Andreas and will launch before the end of 2021, but the collection is far from being a simple port.

Twitter account, GTA News picked up details from a now-deleted Rockstar Support article, which stated that the trilogy will be updated with gameplay inspired by GTA V and a number of significant quality improvements.

As well as presenting GTA V-style controls, the package features vastly improved lighting and environments, complemented by high-resolution textures. What textures are getting overhauled is unclear just yet, but we assume it's both character models and environment assets.

In other Grand Theft Auto news, GTA Online continues to impress fans following its latest big summer expansion in Los Santos Tuners. With a Halloween event and standalone version on the way, it's clear GTA Online is going nowhere anytime soon.
