Wanderer’s Troupe (4 Pieces)

Yanfei works as a Main Pyro DPS, so our build has to make use of boosting as much Attack, Pyro Damage, or Critical Rate as we can get, since her ability to apply Pyro is very fast and will benefit immensely from those stats, especially Critical Rate. Weapons like Skyward Atlas and Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds will help here, backed up by artifact sets like Crimson Witch of Flames.

Below is the best Yanfei build right now. You can keep reading to find out the hows and whys of this particular Yanfei build, but if you've used this character before, you'll quickly understand the thought process behind her best weapon and artifact choices.

Main Pyro DPS

Since Yanfei benefits greatly from having a boost in Critical Rate and Damage, the perfect weapons for her are the Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds or Skyward Atlas, which enforce that. If you can’t get your hands in either of these two spellbooks, The Widsith is a great alternative.

Since the weapons enforce her Critical values, the artifacts must boost her Pyro Damage and Attack stats, and that’s why Crimson Witch of Flames is certainly the best option. However, if you can’t complete the set yet, you can also use Lavawalker or Wanderer’s Troupe as great alternatives.

What Are the Best Team Comps for Yanfei?

Yanfei is a Pyro Main DPS unit who plays extremely well either alone or with others but shines especially well if you can trigger as many reactions as possible. For this, companions that can do that such as Xingqiu or Bennett are recommended, and also whoever can give her some extra juice, like Zhongli.
