Travelers have seen Genshin Impact Baizhu for a long time now, and the natural question is "when will Baizhu be playable in Genshin Impact?"
The answer isn't quite so clear, though it seems evident Baizhu or some Dendro user will be coming in one of Genshin's next few updates.
Baizhu is a Dendro user, making him a rarity in Genshin Impact.
Dendro users are conspicuous mainly by their absence, with Dendro being the only element that currently has no playable characters attached to it.
Genshin leakers seem divided on whether Genshin Impact 1.6 will include the first playable Dendro character, and while some evidence exists to show we’ll definitely be adding Baizhu to our parties at some point, when that might happen is still up in the air for now.

When Will Genshin's Dendro Character Be Available?
Baizhu owns the Bubu Pharmacy in the Liyue region and lives with his talking pet snake Changsheng.
They first encounter the Traveler (that’s you) in the story quest Guizhong, and he quickly proves to be one of the game’s more unique characters.
In February, Genshin leaker BaizhuMains posted character model images showing Baizhu’s early models and suggesting he would be a catalyst user.

Previous Genshin character leaks based on models proved to be true, including the 1.3 character Hu Tao.
Beyond that, Baizhu’s mere existence suggests he’ll be playable — eventually.
Unique-looking NPCs such as Rosaria and characters with deeper back stories such as Hu Tao tend to play larger roles in the game beyond just NPCs.
However, Genshin Impact 1.5 already has two new characters in store: Eula and Yanfei.
miHoYo has also reportedly been planning on Genshin’s other rumored Dendro user, Yaoyao, for a while longer.
Leaks from the original beta show Yaoyao’s model and walking style, similar to the leaks that showed Hu Tao before she was revealed.
In short, we’ll see a Genshin Impact Dendro character at some point, though it probably won’t be in 1.5 and might be Yaoyao first.
