Thanks to regular updates from Infinity Ward and Raven Software, Warzone 2 has an ever-changing meta as players look for the very best weaponry to dominate Call of Duty’s battle royale.
The dominance of the Fennec 45 SMG and the RPK LMG is no more, much to the delight of fans dropping into Al Mazrah and Ashika Island. With such a drastic change to the very best Warzone 2 guns, fans are seeing what the rest of the arsenal has to offer.
A few days following the nerf, one shotgun is dominating the meta thanks to its incredible close-range firepower.
KV Broadside is dominating Warzone 2
After equipping the recently-added KV Broadside as part of a loadout, one Reddit user questions why the developers didn’t test it before its arrival due to its lethal damage output.
When armed with incendiary rounds, the semi-automatic shotgun makes light work of anyone standing in close proximity. Even a post-patch Fennec doesn’t stand a chance against the barrage of burning bullets.
On the other hand, some players believe that the incendiary rounds don’t have a major impact on weapon performance. “The fire rounds don’t even make that much of a difference,” reveals one commenter. “Using the normal rounds and another attachment is actually better.”

Although the KV Broadside is excelling in close-quarters combat, members of the community aren’t happy. One fan has noticed a trend whenever new weapons are added to the game. “It’s the same in every season with the new weapons until they nerf it.”
The fan isn’t wrong. During the Pacific era, the addition of the Cooper Carbine assault rifle quickly became one of the best weapons before eventually receiving a nerf to bring it in line with the rest of the arsenal. We’ll have to wait and see if the KV Broadside meta disappears if the developer decides to tame its power.
