The current state of Warzone 2 is a hot topic of conversation among players dropping into Al Mazrah. Since its launch in mid-November, Infinity Ward has made numerous innovations to its battle royale formula in order to differentiate it from the first version of Warzone.

With Season One Reloaded in full swing and the community suggesting various ways to improve the game, the developer applied an update on December 19 to address bug fixes and an integral part of the game.

Securing your own weapons makes all the difference over the course of a match and the most recent update slashes the Warzone 2 loadout gun price much to the delight of those wanting to run and gun the opposition as fast as possible.

Warzone 2 loadout weapon price change

Prior to the update, getting your hands on a loadout gun came at the cost of $5,000. Now, all you need is $2,500, which is a significant price reduction. Content creator and FaZe Clan member Swagg has shared his thoughts on the change.

The half-price sale means you need to spend $5,000 to obtain two primary weapons over the course of a match. Many believe the change is a sign of fully-fledged loadout drops returning in buy stations in the not-too-distant future.

On one hand, some players approve of the change but on the other, one fan says Warzone 2 shouldn’t contain loadouts at all. “I really want Treyarch to make a new Blackout BR with the exact same template as OG Blackout but with Warzone’s armour plate system.”

The first-ever Call of Duty battle royale never featured loadouts and saw players needing to loot attachments and perks during a game. Could the old structure work in Warzone 2?

Seeing Infinity Ward revert its changes and innovations is disheartening, especially when Warzone Caldera still provides the fast-paced gameplay many want from Warzone 2. Demand for further changes remains, so expect more adjustments to the game in 2023.
