Warzone 2 bug allows players to kill gulag teammate

The gulag in Warzone 2 acts as a last-chance saloon for four players attempting to drop back into the action. Instead of a one-versus-one duel, you’re paired with a random player with the task of earning redeployment.

As attention turns to the launch of Season One Reloaded, the majority of players attempt to eliminate the opposite team, but there are some occasions where you attempt to kill the jailer so everyone earns a second chance in Al Mazrah.

Although the objective of the gulag is to eliminate your opponents, the recent discovery of a bug allows players to kill their gulag teammates.

Warzone 2 gulag betrayal

During a recent visit to the gulag, Reddit user Kazukii18 manages to win the battle but as soon as the victory message appears, they’re able to perform a finishing move on their temporary teammate.

The bug is down to some expert timing. As the player punches their opponent to score the kill, their opponent suddenly appears in front of them resulting in a brutal execution. After betraying their teammate, Kazukii says they have “no idea” if they made it back into the game.

Although the chances of killing your gulag teammate are minimal, there are some that believe that it’s not a bug. “I don’t think this is a bug,” claims SeinTheTraveler. “The game is just one toxic dumpsterfire lately,” referring to numerous other bugs affecting players.

Alongside players killing teammates in the gulag, some are still experiencing issues where they’re encountering players that have turned invincible much to their annoyance. If it’s not bugs ruining your matches, it’s a streamer running around matches using proximity chat to switch off the consoles of nearby opponents.
