While some GTA Online players are already looking forward to GTA 6, others are still trying to enjoy everything that Los Santos has to offer by getting up to wacky antics and spending all of their hard-earned cash.
After all, if you don’t enjoy trying to predict what the next game’s map will look like, lack any hot takes regarding what or who it should include, and have given up agonising over how you’ll earn back your current fortune if the new game includes tax mechanics, why not just try to appreciate the final stretch of GTA Online?
Currently, a lot of players are just this by dressing up as the mythical bigfoot thanks to a free outfit, though it seems some are turning the light-hearted fun into something a bit more sinister.
Have you been assaulted by a squatch in GTA Online?
Their exploits are the subject of a thread on the GTA Online subreddit, which began with a post from one of the squatch gangs’ unfortunate victims, user kyumonty, who shared a clip of them being ambushed by three of the mythical creatures in a clothing store, captioning it: “I was jumped by bigfoots while looking for my bigfoot outfit.”
Sadly, their fellow players didn’t seem to have much sympathy for their plight, with a number preferring to have a go at coining a term for the act of being killed by a sasquatch, such as user vintagesoul_DE, who identified it as a “death by satchsquad” and Tomato_Thomass, who joked that kyumonty had been “sasquashed”.
On the other hand, user RaptorPegasus referenced Red Dead Redemption in their response, asking: “What do you expect? They eat babies.”, to which both magicmushi and Q1VW retorted: “They eat berries and mushrooms, you fool!”
Thankfully, users UFOregon420 and Mysterious_Fig_4444 stepped up to help kyumonty locate the outfit so they can join in on the fun, pointing out that it’s under the ‘special outfits’ category of the player’s owned property closets.
If they manage to do so, they might be able to help make a few players’ dreams come true, with user Bulminator lamenting: “I just want to be in one all bigfoot lobby…” and Therealfego musing: “I want to see a wave of them running through the forests.”
