GTA 5 modder brings Yakuza Zero’s Friday Night dance meme to Los Santos

GTA 5's Michael alongside Kazuma Kiryu.

While some GTA 5 players are already looking forward to GTA 6, others are still trying to enjoy everything that Los Santos has to offer.

One way to do just that is to dive into the interesting world of single player mods, which can bring everything from Christmas markets and massive raves, to even Baywatch-inspired missions to the city.

If you like the idea of spicing up the lives of Michael, Franklin and Trevor, but want to do so in a way that also caters to your love of the Yakuza series, a new mod might be worth checking out.

Fancy giving GTA 5’s protagonists the chance to greet the weekend with the disco moves of Kirya and Majima?

The mod in question is called ‘Friday Nigth Dance Anim - Yakuza 0 (YCD FILE)’ and is the work of modder ArthurMorgan23. Their previous modding work has seen them add famous Fortnite dances to GTA San Andreas.

This time, they’ve decided to bring the infamous dance battles from Yakuza Zero, which have become a bit of a meme on Twitter, to GTA 5 by making the animations that allow Kazuma Kiryu to get down on a Friday night available to your favourite criminals.

As you can see in the video above, this is perfect if you’ve always dreamed of taking to the stage at the Vanilla Unicorn and putting on a show its patrons won’t forget; or entertaining Franklin's neighbours.

Sadly, it looks as though you’ll be limited to solo jigs for now, so you might have to put your fantasies about having Michael and Trevor overcome their betrayal by busting some moves in tandem on hold.

If that sounds like something you’d enjoy doing over the festive period, you’ll have to grab GTA 5’s script hook, MAFINS’ ‘Menyoo PC [Single-Player Trainer Mod]’, and OpenIV to get things working as they should.

Regardless of what you’re going to get up to in Los Santos over Christmas, make sure to follow us for more GTA 6 and GTA Online updates as new vehicles and more arrive.
