While some GTA 5 players are already looking forward to GTA 6, others are still trying to enjoy everything that Los Santos has to offer.

One way to do just that is to dive into the interesting world of single-player mods, which can fill the game with everything from massive raves and Baywatch-inspired missions to Yakuza Zero-style disco dancing.

However, if you’re more interested in using your ill-gotten gains to assemble your dream garage than you are in hanging out with Jimmy De Santa, a new mod might be worth adding to your load order.

Sick of having your custom cars disappear the moment you turn your back?

The mod in question is called ‘Persistent Rides’ and is the work of modder HKH191. A lot of their previous modding work has also been focused on making interesting additions to GTA 5’s single-player, including enabling the interiors of buildings and allowing you to sample some of The Diamond Casino’s games without risking your Online fortune.

This time, they’ve decided to help out those who’re sick of running out of storage space for custom cars and having their modified motors end up in the impound lot or disappear into thin air.

The mod accomplishes this by ensuring that the moment you start upgrading a car’s visual or performance parts, it will be automatically saved, providing you with a notification that’ll help you to relax a little bit.

Once this has been done, you should be able to find the vehicle listed on the menu that’ll pop up when you call a new phone contact, named ‘Persistent Rides’, and by selecting your ride, you’ll be able to either teleport yourself to it or delete it if you wish to.

If that sounds like the kind of valet service you’ve been looking for, you’ll seemingly first need to grab GTA 5’s script hook, crosire’s ‘Community Script Hook V .NET’ and justalemon’s ‘LemonUI: Open Source UI Library’ in order to get things working as intended.

Regardless of whether the citizens of Los Santos are now having to carefully pull past the array of automobiles you’ve loft strewn all over San Andreas, make sure to follow us for more GTA 6 and GTA Online updates as new vehicles and more arrive.
